Beach Log Cabin Revitalization
The owners of this beach cabin in Lewes, Delaware called Lamb’s Custom Painting/ Lamb’s Softwash Roof and Exterior Cleaning for our expert help. They had a previous bad experience with a power washer. The PSI was too strong, and it cut away the finish on the cabin’s logs. This exposed the wood to moisture, dirt, and molds. The wood finish was uneven and there was mold and mildew on the roof and in the logs, as well. We began the process by Softwashing the entire residence, including the roof. We then allowed the cabin a few days to dry properly. We set up ladders with staging planks. This assisted with the preparation and application uniformity.
After protecting the work areas with tarps, our team lightly sanded the wood. The team eliminated any dust and debris by wiping the wood down with damp lint free cloths. The process began with Sikkens PPG ProLuxe Cetol Wood Finish Base Coat. The first coat was followed by Sikkens PPG ProLuxe 23 Topcoat for an additional two coats. Making three coats in all. There was a twenty-four-hour drying time between each coat. The homeowners were over-the-moon thrilled with the results. Admittedly, so were we. The end product was everything we had anticipated.

First of all they started with a softwashing of the roof and the house. The roof, which is 22 years old now looks new. Neighbors wanted to know if we had our roof replaced.

They cleaned up the work area at the end of the day.
