Lambs Custom Painting and Lamb's Roof and Exterior Cleaning had the privilege of cleaning and restoring this lovely home in Canal Corkran in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. As you will see, the roof and siding showed dirt and mold that had collected from years of exposure to the elements.
The roof and cedar siding were cleaned with our Softwash solution. This eliminated all of the dirt and mold. Softwashing eliminates the need for high pressure that is used in pressure washing today. It does not damage the cedar in the way that pressure washing can.
We then sanded all of the trim. Bare areas were primed with Sherwin-Williams Pro-Block. Areas that needed it were caulked. The trim was then covered with two coats of high quality exterior semi-gloss. Sherwin-Williams Super paint was used for that. Next, two coats of a clear wood finish was applied to the cedar siding. Our team sanded the porch with a commercial floor sander. We then applied an exotic sealer called penofin. The door was sanded with the Festool System. The Festool system is important in our sanding projects as it is a contained system; eliminating 99% of the dust produced in sanding. We applied two coats of Minwax Spar Urethane in a satin finish to the door.
As you can see, this house received a major transformation. We brought the house back to its original condition. As a result of this restoration, we were able to restore the cedar siding of many other homes in this neighborhood. We are your go-to painting contractor for all your cedar applications.
