Lamb’s Custom Painting and Lamb’s Softwash Roof and Exterior Cleaning were able to help the owners of this lovely cedar saltbox home in Lewes, Delaware. A common problem people run into when pressure washing wood siding is stripping the wood and showing where the pressure washing starts and stops. As you can see in the before pictures, there are obvious marks in the wood that needed to be eliminated to give a softer look to the wood.
Our team began by Softwashing the entire home. That eliminated and mold, mildew, lichen, dirt, and debris. We then pressure washed the cedar siding, fanning out the lines that were created by the previous pressure washing and staining.
When the project was thoroughly dry, Lamb’s Custom Painting applied two coats of Sikkens PPG ProLuxe Cetol SRD RE Translucent Matte Wood Finish in Cedar 077 to the cedar siding. To eliminate the stop and start marks from forming while applying the stain, our team set up staging planks for a free-flowing application technique. The gutters and downspouts were painted with Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint in Benjamin Moore’s Tudor Brown.
As you can see, our team was able to repair the visual component, creating a more aesthetically appealing look. The homeowners were thoroughly thrilled with the finished product.
