The owners of this lovely home in Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club were ready to make a dramatic change. They felt that the colors of the stone and siding needed to reflect the coastal feel of the area. The homeowners chose to cover the outdated brown siding with Sherwin- Williams (SW) Aleutian SW 6241
Lamb’s Custom Painting/ Lamb’s Roof and Exterior Cleaning started by Softwashing the entire home, including the roof. Softwashing eliminates any bacterial growth, dirt, salt, lichen, and oil from the surfaces to be painted.
There were areas where the paint was peeling; they were scraped sanded, and primed. Two coats of SW Aleutian in Duration satin finish were applied to the siding. The doors and trim were painted with SW Emerald white gloss paint. The stone façade, chimney, and front steps were whitewashed with a 1:3 ratio of Duration flat white paint to water. The exterior light frames were covered in a black paint with a matte finish.
The finished product was fantastic. The homeowners are thrilled with the result.
